Irene Mathyssen

Irene Mathyssen was the New Democratic Party candidate for the riding of London--Fanshawe in the Canadian federal election, 2004. Mathyssen also ran in the 1997 election for the NDP in the same riding, finishing a close third behind Scott Bowman of the Reform Party of Canada and Pat O'Brien of the Liberal Party of Canada. Mathyssen is a former MPP, serving in the Ontario government from 1990-1995. Mathyssen is a secondary school teacher and long time community and labour activist.
